Find Relief from PTSD—Without Years of Therapy

How a Short-Term Approach Can Make a Big Impact

PTSD can be loud. Or it can be quiet.
It might show up in nightmares, panic, or feeling on edge. Or maybe it creeps in silently—numbing you, pulling you away from people you love, or making everyday things harder than they should be.

If you’re reading this, you might be carrying something heavy from your past. Maybe you’ve tried therapy before. Maybe you’ve avoided it altogether because the idea of talking through what happened feels overwhelming. I get that.

But what if relief was possible—without committing to years of therapy?

That’s where Written Exposure Therapy (WET) comes in.

A Trauma Therapy That’s Focused and Doable

WET is a short-term, evidence-based therapy designed specifically for PTSD.
It’s structured, straightforward, and effective—and it only takes 5 sessions (or 6–8 sessions total with intake and follow-up). You don’t have to tell your story out loud. You don’t have to carry homework between sessions. And you don’t have to stay in therapy forever.

Here’s how it works:
Over the course of our sessions, you’ll write about what happened in a specific, guided way. This process helps your brain begin to organize the memory differently—reducing the power it holds over your day-to-day life.
And yes—it works. Research shows that WET is as effective as longer trauma therapies, with lower dropout rates and faster relief.

You Don’t Have to Tread Water Forever

Most people come to me not because they want therapy—they come because they want relief. They want to sleep better. Stop avoiding the places or conversations that trigger them. Show up more fully in their work, their relationships, or their parenting.

WET isn’t a magic wand. But it’s a powerful tool to help you stop surviving and start healing.

You don’t have to retell every traumatic moment. You don’t have to rehash your entire history. We’ll focus on one thing—enough to reduce the intensity and allow space for your nervous system to reset.

Why I Offer This

I’ve been a therapist for over 16 years, and I’ve walked alongside many people carrying trauma. Some needed long-term therapy. Others needed a clear plan, a short-term container, and a trusted guide.

That’s what WET offers.

If you’re carrying trauma from deployment, assault, a car accident, medical trauma, childhood abuse—or any life-altering event—this approach might be a fit. It works best for people who are stable day-to-day but still living with the weight of the past.

Ready to Reset?

I offer WET as a focused 6–8 session intensive. Sessions are available in person or online for clients across Oklahoma.
If you’re wondering if this is the right path for you, let’s talk about it.
